LingCor 2026: 4th Workshop on Spoken Corpus Linguistics
The 4th LingCor: Workshop on Spoken Corpus Linguistics will take place from 5 to 7 October 2026 at the Institute of Romance Studies at Humboldt University of Berlin. It builds on the three previous events held at the Universitat de València (2018), the Universitat d’Alacant (2019), and the University of Vienna (2024), thereby continuing an established international forum dedicated to research in spoken corpus linguistics.
LingCor aims to bring together researchers working with spoken corpus data to drive methodological innovation, promote cross-linguistic comparisons, and strengthen collaboration in the field of spoken corpus linguistics.

Workshop: Register at the Interface of Socio-Geographic Variation
SFB 1412: Register Project A09
This workshop, taking place from 8 to 10 June, explores the interface between language register and socio-geographical variation. It focuses on how these dynamics relate to standardisation processes, particularly with regard to Spanish and its variants worldwide.

Every Voice Matters: Scaling Dialectology with Computational Methods
Prof. Bouzouita has been awarded a grant of €936,618 from the Volkswagen Foundation’s Momentum programme for the project ‘Every Voice Matters: Scaling Dialectology with Computational Methods’.

X INIL Reserach Conferences
Prof. Dr. Bouzouita will participate in the 10th research event series of the Instituto de Investigaciones Lingüísticas in Costa Rica on December 2, with a presentation on three citizen science research cases analyzing dialectal variation, sociolinguistics, and register. The event will take place online.
